Alimentaris networks to achieve coordinated participation of the community, local actors, other organizations and different governmental spheres in order to contribute to improving the people quality of life and to influence the creation of public policies. Alimentaris convokes different sectors to facilitate the generation of a framework of thought, dialogue and linkage construction deemed indispensable for the generation of a lasting and fundamentally sustainable impact.
Alimentaris wants to improve the resources for community aid, in order to allow a greater number of the population that currently lives in poverty to have similar opportunities of personal and family development than the rest of the population. For the development of projects, it approaches the government and international agencies, and likewise tries to create a multidisciplinary network with third sector organizations. It is always important to identify foundations that lead local processes in each case. For every social issue that Alimentaris aims to influence, an intervention MODEL which be self-sustained or low-cost and scalable is sought or achieved so that it allows multiplying the impact.
Alimentaris working methodology can be summarized in the following steps:
- Identify the problem.
- Search if there are better national or international models that can be applied to this matter according to our principles.
- If a suitable model is not found, we develop our own, according to the fundamentals of personal effort, dignity and non-imposition using new technologies and available scientific innovations or financing and leading scientific innovations.
- Testing the ground for the proposed model through pilot tests in different regions of the country.
- If the model meets the proposed requirements (self-sustaining or low-cost and scalable), we try to find the actors that are devoted to this problem, whether they are the government, NGOs or social enterprises. The aim is to show them the new model advantages in the best use of economic and human resources, thus adopting, implementing the model and especially scaling it up.
